When I received CW7 I saw the huge amount it took on disk... For previous installation, I used Fat Free on IDE/Compilers to shrink their size down. I saved about 700 kb per application, but with the new Plug-In compiler you save less... (IDE is smaller than before because there is no compiler).
I saw huge compiler plug-ins (~600 kb). Since Metrowerks build a cross-compiling environment, I looked for fat plug-ins which I have found... You can strip them down... (ex : C/C++ 68K ~412kb, Pascal 68k ~312kb)
What do you get with it ?
With Fat Free you saved several magabytes on your small/huge hard drive. It works with IDE, Debugger, Compilers and Linkers plug-in, Constructor and any other "fat" application. Panel plug-ins seems to not be "fat" (without code fragments).
Fat Free is Postcardware, remember to send your postcard. The megs you save are worth a Postcard from your home town, aren't they ?
